We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable when they visit. Our facilities are designed to support a wide range of needs, so you can move around the centre with ease and enjoy your time here.

Accessibility

AccessAble

Everyone deserves to feel confident and supported when visiting us. We're proud to work with AccessAble to provide detailed accessibility information, helping make every journey a little easier.

Skating

Everyone deserves to enjoy the ice, and we're here to make every skate easy, comfortable and enjoyable. From step-free access and accessible facilities to assistance dog support, we offer a range of features to help you feel confident from the moment you arrive.

We're also proud to offer Quiet Hours. These are designed to create a calmer, more relaxed environment with reduced rink capacity, giving you extra space to enjoy the ice at your own pace.

Quieter Hours Skate Sessions:

  • Every Monday from 1.30pm until 2.45pm.

Come along and enjoy a welcoming skate that's open to every body. Whether you're looking for a leisurely glide, a gentle way to stay active or simply some time to practise your skating, our friendly team is always on hand to help.

If you have any questions just speak to a member of the team.

Hidden disabilities

We support people with all disabilities — both visible and hidden — and we’re here to make sure you feel comfortable, confident, and included every time you visit.

We’re proud to support the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Scheme. If you or someone you’re visiting with has a hidden or dynamic disability, wearing a sunflower lanyard is a simple way to let our team know you might need a little extra support with no pressure to explain.

To help you feel at ease, we also offer quieter times across our facilities, including quiet hours within our SEND skates.

We also provide accessible toilets, available for any member who needs them — including those with hidden or dynamic disabilities.

If you need any additional support during your visit, or have any questions, please speak to a member of our team.

Our Website & third party applications

Our booking and membership system is provided by Legend, a trusted third-party application used to manage bookings and memberships at Oxford Ice Rink. While the application is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, some areas do not yet fully meet accessibility standards. We're working with Legend to improve accessibility and make the experience as inclusive as possible for all users.
